Many people ask us "what are the best condoms for feeling" or "What's the thinnest condom? With so many improvements in condom technology and manufacturing, it often gets overwhelming for consumers trying to pick the right thin condom. Many times people just give up looking and grab the first box they see on the store shelf to quickly turn and run for the checkout. People just don't want to be seen in the condom isle standing there staring at a condom box. To help make your search a bit easier and much less embarrassing, we have gathered and reviewed what we feel are The 10 Best Ultra-Thin Condoms to Buy in 2020, Ripnroll's Top 10 sensitive condoms, arguably the best feeling condoms on the market.
For over 20 years we continue to hear people say they won't wear condoms because "they can't feel anything" or I don't wear condoms because "they feel like raincoats" Well if they had done a little research they would realize that today's more sensitive condoms or "Ultra-Thin Condoms" may be just what they need. The condoms of 2020 are leaps and bounds better than the condoms your dad used to use.
It's a good idea to check your size before you buy any condoms, we have covered condom size in depth in a previous blog post here - The condom size chart, Size Matters.
The first benefit would be the obvious reason, Ultra-Thin condoms are thinner, sometimes up to 20-40% thinner than other standard condoms. When a condom is Ultra-Thin it is much less noticeable during sex which in turn lets the man concentrate more on the pleasure of the moment and less on the protective sheathe on his Johnson. While using an ultra thin condom, you will be less likely to feel the condom and more likely to enjoy the pleasure and feeling of the moment. Less material between you and your partner means more excitement, better feeling and pleasure for both of you.
If more people understood the benefits of thinner more sensitive condoms, maybe they would have more satisfaction in the bedroom. When people see the words 20%-40% thinner or thinnest condom we sell, they often think the condom is more likely to break or it must not be safe, this is far from the truth. Many of the Ultra-Thin condoms have gone thru countless hours of design and preparation even prior to the testing process, and because of these processes these Ultra-thin Condoms are just as safe, if not safer than those "other standard condoms"
There and many factors that go into making an Ultra-Thin condom but first and foremost is safety. As a matter of safety, every condom sold in the USA must pass what is called FDA inspection. This inspection process takes place before the condoms are allowed to be sold in stores. For this reason, condom manufacturers test, test, and re-test their condoms so as not to fail inspection; An FDA Inspection failure is not a good thing by any means and for this reason these Ultra Thin condoms go thru the same rigorous testing as a normal thicker condom would go thru. Read more about FDA Approved Condoms here
Another important factor to consider when buying ultra thin condoms would be the materials they are made of. Condoms come in many different materials like latex and non latex materials such as polyisoprene and polyurethane. Material consideration would be important if you think you might be allergic to latex. We break it down for you here in a previous article - Latex vs Non Latex condoms
There are also many different names in the Ultra-Thin condoms category like Skinless Skin, Sheerlon, Thintensity, Bareskin, Micro-thin, Invisible and the list goes on...
Ultra Thin condoms are lubricated with waterbase or silicone lubricants, we always recommend using an added drop of lubricant on the inside of the condom to help reduce friction. Heat and lack of lubrication is the top reason a condom might fail. Never use oil based lubricants such as baby oil on a condom, always use Water based or silicone based lubricants. So, with all that being said, what are the best thinnest condoms? Below are our picks, we encourage you to try one or try them all and then decide for yourself. We are convinced that you will agree, there really is a difference in feeling between regular and ultra thin condoms.

]]>Here at America's Condom Superstore, we have been asked this question weekly for almost 20 years now. Out of all the hundreds of condom we sell, the smaller condom brands continue to be one of, if not THE most popular condoms we sell online. If you are wondering why, well it is kind of obvious. Smaller condoms house smaller penises and most guys with smaller penises don’t really want to broadcast their shortcomings to the world.
Buying small condoms in a store pose many uncomfortable problems so to speak. The chances of slipping that package of snugger fit condoms unnoticed past the pretty girl at the checkout counter or the old lady at the Pharmacy for that matter are slim to none. Sure, those big guys have no problem standing in the condom isle holding a box of Magnums while comparing them tit for tat to the box of XXL on the shelf. The larger, well endowed guy won’t think twice about handing a box of Magnum XL’s to the checkout clerk while asking her for a price check. He might even smile and give her that obnoxious wink. Unfortunately this is not the case for the guys with smaller penises. Unless there is a self checkout, guys looking to buy smaller size condoms are pretty much limited to buying those snugger fit condom brands online from the privacy of their homes.
RipnRoll.com – America’s Condom Superstore, has a small condom brand section that just might be the perfect fit for anyone looking for the best small condom to buy. There is also a small condom sampler where you can try an assortment of smaller condoms to find which one fits and feels the best.
So what size condom is actually a small size condom? Let’s first confirm…I guess the question to ask yourself would be are you small, average or large when it comes to your manhood? Well, when determining the measure of a man’s penis size and what’s “normal” there are two important dimensions to consider: length (the measurement from the base of a man’s penis to the tip) and girth (the distance around a penis, usually measured at the middle of a man’s penile shaft). The average penis ranges between 5.5 and 6.2 inches in length and between 4.7 and 5.1 inches in girth when erect. "Well that seems easy enough right?" Slow down Tiny Tim, have you ever measured your stuff? I mean really measured, not just looked at it and said wow, that’s small…
OK then, so how does someone measure to determine if they actually do have a smaller size package or if maybe their ego is just somewhat under-inflated? Some so called condom experts might ask you to measure your penis circumference with a string or a fabric tape ruler… Huh? I don’t know about you, but most guys won’t bother. We would be lucky to have a Home Depot tape measure handy if that, and I can tell you we aren’t about to wrap a metal tape measure around our junk. A better, quick and easy way to determine your average penis size is right around the corner in your bathroom. It's a toilet paper roll...that’s right a toilet paper roll, It’s called the Toilet paper roll test.
Wayne Pawlowski, a certified sexuality educator (via AASECT, the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker presented this fun fact of information at the Center for Family Life Education’s National Sex Ed Conference. Wayne shared a piece of lore that he has seen in professional publications and that he has personally recommended to many of the young men he’s worked with. At the conference, he shared it with a room full of about 60 sexuality educators, none of whom had ever heard of it before. Wayne stated that "In order to determine what size condom you need, use the cardboard tube from a standard US roll of toilet paper"... Yes, really. Regular-sized condoms have almost the same circumference as that toilet paper tube. Condoms are a shade smaller, but a rolled up condom is as big around as the end of that toilet paper tube. If the thickest part of your erect penis—the base of the head—can fit into that tube without much effort, then a regular condom will fit you well. If the thickest part of your penis has plenty of room inside that tube, then you need small-sized condoms, or snugger fitted condoms. And if your head doesn’t fit through that toilet paper roll without a whole lot of effort or pain, then you need the large or “magnum” size. Having a properly fitted condom is obviously important. If your condom is too small, you probably won’t be able to put it on or it will be overly tight. If it’s too big, it will be too loose, and risk slipping off or leaking during sex. So bottom line, if the toilet roll test was loose fitting, this means YOU should try a smaller or snugger fitted condom.
So now that you are all measured up, and you still feel you are on the small side of the fence, I guess the big question of the day is: What is the best small Condom? First and foremost, you might want to head over to our condom size chart to see where you fit in
Well, when it comes to small condoms, the field is actually pretty narrow, pardon the pun. Smaller sized guys are limited to the few brands available. Due to FDA testing regulations, the shortest condoms available in the US are still around 7 inches long, and as stated earlier with the “Average size penis” in the US being only about 5.5 inches to 6.6 inches long, this seems to pose a real problem when looking for the best small condom. Let’s look at this a little closer though. Condom users need to take into consideration the extra space needed at the tip of the condom for semen once the deed is done. This is the reason most all condoms have a nipple end or reservoir tip. The added room is for added safety. Believe it or not most men don’t know the correct way to put on a condom. Another thing to consider is that fortunately most condoms are never unrolled all the way to the bottom, so for a shorter size penis this is helpful but can also cause a thick bunch up of latex at the base creating a tighter, restricted and uncomfortable feel especially if you are thicker in circumference. A solution for a shorter, thicker penis might be a thinner latex condom, as the unrolled latex won’t be as bulky and tight around the circumference and base of the shaft. Sometimes a man with a short thick shaft would be better off with an average or larger size circumference condom that is ultra-thin. This would offer a more comfortable fit at the base while still offering plenty of protection and coverage.
So with all that being said, we still haven’t answered the question What Condoms are Best for Small Penises? Considering the limited size variations and generality of data offered from the condom manufacturers, there are only a handful of smaller sized condoms and snugger fit condoms we would recommend. Below are the condoms, as of this writing, that we feel will benefit anyone looking to buy a smaller sized condom. Remember, if the toilet roll center was loose fitting, this means YOU.

When looking for the right condom, many people might not realize that condom size is much more important than looking for thin condoms or studded condoms or maybe even flavored condoms.
Trying to weed thru every condom in any store is a time consuming and frustrating undertaking, so a condom size chart is the perfect solution to this problem. If you are not sure how you measure up, you can go here to better educate yourself about measuring yourself for small medium or large size condoms
Condom size, in fact, is probably the most important property of any condom you are researching. If a condom is too small, it can be constrictive and hamper a man's performance in the bedroom. If a condom is too big, it can cause bigger problems if it leaks fluid or slips off during intercourse.
When choosing Condom size, there can be many, many factors. Base width or the size of the condoms ring or band at the bottom, head width, shaft length, and shaft width all play a major role in finding the perfect size condom. So we have categorized our size chart with the most important size factors we feel are needed to determine your perfect size condom.
Keep in mind, on average, most condoms are a bit longer than they need to be. If after you roll the condom on and you find that there is too much unrolled baggage at the base, you may need a shorter or smaller fitting condom. If there is nothing left to unroll, you might need to look at using a longer length or larger size condom.
When determining a condoms size, most people focus solely on the length of the condom. While this is a good form of measurement and one that most people use to measure condom size, the condoms length is not necessarily the most important based on the average penis size. A report from King's College of London and their researchers, states they went through 17 studies that examined the penis size of more than 15,000 men. Kings found that the average flaccid penis length, from the base to the opening on the tip, was 3.6 inches and the circumference, measured around the base or mid-shaft, was 3.7 inches.
When erect, the average man's penis swelled to an an astounding 5.2 inches in length lol, and 4.6 inches in circumference. What this means in terms of condom size is that almost all of the condoms we have measured here at RipNRoll over the last 20 years are more than sufficient in the length department. Remember, you don't need to roll the condom all the way down to the serial numbers (insert joke here) Considering that most condoms range from 6.5" to 8.5" in length, a condoms length is only critical when a man's member is pushing porn star status. If however, you do fall into this category, you will want to pay attention to the Length Category on our below size chart.
The condoms "Flat Width" (not the same as width) x 2 equals the condoms "Circumference" or measurement around the shaft. (this is approximate with minimal stretch factored in)
To determine condom width, we lay each unrolled condom flat across a flat ruler and measure it from side edge to side edge. The image below demonstrates the correct way to measure condom width. To calculated the condoms Circumference (girth) the flat width of the condom is multiplied by 2. Example a condom with a 2.1" width would have an approximate circumference of 4.2 If you are looking for a wider condom, pay attention to the width measurement on the condom size chart.
The Condoms Circumference plays a major role in condom size, especially for smaller endowed men. If you are less than average, It might be better to look at the girth of your penis rather than the length when buying condoms. The condom might look too long but remember it doesn't have to unroll all of the way. On the other hand, if the condom's girth is too big, there is a greater risk of the condom slipping off so try to find a condom with a circumference that is comparable to your correct size. Also be aware that some condoms are advertised as "Tapered width" meaning they are most likely snugger at the base or just below the head of the condom, too tight and your performance may suffer. On the other hand some men prefer a tight based condom as it can help with problems keeping erect as well as help delay orgasm in some cases. There are penis rings made specifically for this as well.
Believe it or not, many of the condoms you see labeled as "Large Size Condoms" are not any larger than standard or "Average size condoms". Over the last 20 years, we have measured all of the condom brands in our inventory on a regular basis and have seen this "Large Condoms" phenomenon on many occasions. We've seen condoms labeled as Huge, Anaconda, Large, Mega and Kyng for example that were not large at all and a few were actually smaller than average size. So with that in mind be aware of the Large condoms true size measurements when considering them as an option. Again, one more reason a condom size chart is a great guide to determine actual condom sizes.
Most condoms on the market fall into the "average size" category so in our condom size chart we are only going to list the "Smaller size condoms" and the "Larger sized condoms" we feel are truly fitting for their respective categories. We have omitted from the chart hundreds of other average size condoms to save you from scrolling forever. However if you still want to see all of the different condom sizes available including "average Size Condoms" keep in mind that every condom on the RipNRoll website does indeed have length and width measurements included in the accompanying images of each condom.
Indeed, we do...we don't just rely on measurements found on condom boxes or manufacturers websites, we actually measure the condoms ourselves. We measure each and every condom brand by length and width before we sell it on our website. I guess you could say we've been measuring condoms for more than 2 decades, since we started back in 1996.
We have found over the years that many condom dimensions, listed by our suppliers or manufacturers, vary greatly from actual measurements we have taken ourselves here at Rip n Roll. Periodically we will re-measure a condom if it has changed packaging or manufacturing location to ensure the dimensions are still correct. A good example would be the Trojan Enz Non Lubed condoms, these condoms originally had a round non-reservoir head, over the years the condom design changed to a reservoir tip which changed the dimensions completely.
While a specific condoms width and length may vary over time, we do our best to keep our condoms measurements accurate and up to date. After all we are not a "big box" or "sell everything store", we are a condom store, we specialize in condoms.

Don't worry, this can all be confusing especially if you are a new condom user and have just started using protection. To help you find the right size, you may need to try several different types or styles of condoms before finding the one that provides you with the most comfort or best fit.
Something to consider trying would be to buy a condom assortment pack or condom sampler. These condom assortments are relatively inexpensive and available in many different sizes from assorted small condoms to large condoms and everything in between including average size condoms and condoms with additional headroom.
Additionally, If there are specific condoms you see on the above size chart, you can usually buy these as singles and save a little money. Either way it is always a good practice to try on different condom brands and sizes to see which feel most comfortable or fit you the best.
Although choosing a condom can be overwhelming, we hope we have earned your trust as a reputable condom size guide. In reality, you don't need a condom size calculator to figure out the right size condom for you, you just need to do a little measuring once you understand how. Once people find the correct size condom for them it becomes much easier to buy them in stores or online and once you “Know Your Size” you can start looking at other things like texture, flavor, scents and materials etc.
Finding a condom that fits properly can also enhance your experience with sexual partners and will better protect you against unwanted pregnancies and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Rip n Roll knows that condoms are essential tools needed for proactive sexual safety, we call them the “Protective Gear for Active Lifestyles”. Our Sexual Education blogs are meant to be used as a guide to help educate and help stamp out sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies through the promotion of responsible sexual behavior and the correct use of condoms.
The more educated, comfortable and open to discussion the world is to safer sex education and condom discussion, the healthier our society will ultimately be. The end definitely justifies the means.

Okay people...really?? I am only going to say this once,... condoms taste like condoms. for almost 20 years people have been calling our phone lines and making jokes about flavored condoms. "Do you sell flavored condoms?" yes "Oooh I bet their really yummy, do they taste better before or after they are used?" Everyone's a comedian, or at least they think. Don't worry, we have heard them all, I mean after 20 years in the condom business, do you really think you know a condom joke we haven't heard?
Ok so the real answer, I would guess, depends on your palette. Even though they come in a huge variety of flavors, Condoms are not going to taste like filet mignon, they might taste more like bacon actually. Yes there are bacon flavored condoms believe it or not. Condoms won't taste like Lobster, sushi, or Tiramisu either, they are pretty limited in the taste department due mainly to the manufacturing process. It's actually not the condoms themselves that are flavored but the lubricant or powder that is applied to the condom during production of the succulent jimmies.
The condom flavors that are indeed available are as follows, Mint, Banana, Cola, Strawberry, Chocolate, Grape, Apple, Orange, Vanilla, Pina Colada, Cherry Sunrise, Passion Daiquiri and yes Bacon. Our staff pick for the best flavor would have to be the new Skyn Cocktail cub condoms inspired by famous cocktails. These condoms are made with a synthetic non-latex material so there is no latex smell undertones
The ingredient, glycerin, found in most flavored condoms is responsible for the flavoring or taste. It is a sweet sugar based ingredient that doesn't agree kindly with women's delicate under parts. Sugar/glycerin can thro off the PH balance of a woman's vagina which drastically increases the chance for developing a yeast infection. And we all know what that means...right guys?
In short, I would recommend only using flavored condoms for oral sex, which in my opinion is all they are really good for anyway. The flavors help mask the latex taste and smell that standard condoms usually have. Oral sex without a condom is not a wise idea unless you know your partner very well. Unprotected oral sex can transmit HIV/AIDS and other STI's.
There are alternatives to flavored condoms as well. You can always buy a non-lubricated condom and add your own flavored lubricant and Walla you now have your very own "Custom Flavored Condom" and if your lubricant is ph balanced and women friendly this condom can go all the way if you know what I mean.
Another thing to remember is most flavored condoms, although made for taste, are not abundant in different sizes. In other words, you get what you get and that is basically a standard size straight walled condom with a reservoir end. No bells and whistles on these tasty treats just flavors. colors and scents. The condom manufacturers we offer in the taste bud department are Trustex, Durex, Skyn, Maxpro and JD's
Bottom line, if you're looking to add some fun to your bedroom escapades by all means try out some flavoured condoms...they won't thrill the taste buds but they will add to the blindfold game "Guess which flavor" and "hide the banana" lol - Stay Safe and let the good times Roll
]]>Almost weekly, we get asked the same questions over and over here at America’s Condom Superstore. “What condoms are the best? What type of condom should I use? What is the best condom for me and my partner?” And “Why does Trojan have so many different names and what do all the types mean?”
Well, while we have tried to educate the condom masses as to how the choose the “BEST” condom (see article here) these are not questions easily answered. There are so many variables in the condoms makeup and design and there are literally thousands of condoms on the market. To put it simply, it's like buying a pair of shoes or buying a hat, they all fit and feel different. Although you probably won’t be having sex with your shoes or hats, unless you are one of those kinky types. While the condoms fit and feel do play a major role in the condoms short lived responsibility and service, function and performance will most likely earn it the coveted gold star it is seeking in its short 3-5 year lifespan. This unique balance of desirable traits is what makes buying a condom so confusing. These many features and attributes are also the reasoning behind the Trojan Condom Company’s influx of new names, types, brands, styles and designs.
I have been in the condom industry for over 20 years and have seen many condoms come and go. While I personally am not a fan of the Trojan Brand for business reasons, I must give credit to Trojan and the Trojan Company (Church and Dwight Company, CHD) as a whole for their continued dominance; with around 70% percent of the condom market share in the US.
Trojan is obviously doing something right and most of their success, in my opinion, is due to brilliant marketing and advertising. Trojan continues to evolve as a brand and this evolution has incorporated countless trials and errors in design, packaging and advertising as well. It is true that growth involves risk and mistakes, and like any great company they have had their share of challenges; which brings me to the many faces of Trojan Brand Condoms.
Below is an attempt to help categorize, educate and explain the differences of the Trojan Line of condoms as it stands today, August 2015. This is not a Review of the Trojan Brand Condoms, only an attempt to help people understand their names.
The different Lines of Trojan including Styles and what they mean. Below is your Trojan Index so to speak. We even alphabetized them for your convenience.
Armor - Nonoxynol-9 Spermicide is on this condom for extra protection against pregnancy ONLY - NOT for extra protection against AIDS and other STDs. CAUTION: Some people are sensitive to Nonoxynol-9. Spermicidal Lubricants Are For Extra Protection Against Pregnancy. Spermicidal Lubricants Are Not For Rectal Use Or More-Than-Once-A-Day Vaginal Use.
Bareskin – The thinnest condoms Trojan Makes, includes the Bareskin, the Bareskin studded, the Magnum Bareskin and the Supra Bareskin a non latex polyurethane condom.
Charged – “Orgasmic Pleasure” is claimed to be experienced with these condoms. Although I must admit any condoms ultimate outcome is orgasmic pleasure lol. Contains an intensified lubricant.
Enz - Trojan Enz are a standard straight walled average condom that come in lubricated, non lubricated, and spermicidal, There is also the Trojan Ultra Enz which is a bit wider at the end (as of this writing the Ultra Enz has been discontinued) all of the Enz condoms now have a reservoir tip including the Enz Non Lubricated
Ecstasy – A condom line with no reservoir tip and a Comfort shape that allows freedom of movement for a more natural experience

Intensified - Contains an intensified lubricant to enhance pleasure for both partners.

Most people refer to any large condom as a magnum even if it is not a Trojan made condom. The magnum line includes the Magnum Original, Magnum Thin, Magnum Ecstasy, Magnum Fire & Ice, Magnum XL, Magnum ribbed and Magnum Bareskin.
Naturalamb – A non latex conom made from natural lamb intestines. Contains no latex and may be used by latex sensitive people. For pregnancy protection ONLY. Does not protect against STIs

Includes the Extended Pleasures climax control condoms, the Fire & Ice condoms containing a “Dual Action Lubricant” inside and out providing a warming and tingling sensations for both partners and the Pleasures Fire & ice Ecstasy ribbed condoms.
Sensitivity – The thinner line of Trojan Condoms including the Trojan Bareskin and Trojan Ultra-Thin, Trojan’s thinnest condoms
Stimulations – Condoms that are ribbed to help enhance stimulation
Supra – Latex Free - America’s thinnest non latex condom, made from a polyurethane material.
Thintensity – 25% thinner for sensitivity and comfort. One of the thinner straight wall condoms in the Sensitivity line.
Twisted - designed with a special twist at the closed end to help stimulate both partners in their most sensitive areas.
Ultra Thin – Trojans thinnest Latex Condom
XL – The Largest Condom Trojan Makes. The Magnum XL is one of the largest condoms on the market.
Whew...
Well, there you have it! As of this writing, these are the various names and attributes of Trojan Brand condoms you see on the market today. Keep in mind this WILL change as it has hundreds of times in the past. The next “GREAT” marketing idea will no doubt wipe out many of these condoms and descriptions but for the time being Trojan is leading the pack in market share with these names and styles.
Although there are many other condom Brands worth exploring, which I do encourage you to do, today’s story is all about the big Brand, the big Kahuna, the big potato, the big…well you get the picture. Today's article is all about Trojan condoms, so if you want to hear about Durex Brand or One Condoms or Lifestyles etc. etc. etc…check back later, I will surely look closer at these major brands as well.
Personally, if you are like the hundreds of thousands of customers who have bought from America’s Condom Superstore over the years, you could care less about all of this fluff right? Just give me a condom that fits and feels good…a condom is a condom right??? Well apparently NOT according to Trojan.

Ok guys, you have come to the right place, this article is for you. Not to exclude any female viewers from reading this, it's just that we wrote this with the intention of helping guys please their girls. Pleasing a woman takes more than just buying her flowers, or taking her out to a nice restaurant, or surprising her with nice things. Yes, these tried and tested ways will make her "happy" but if you really want to "Please" a girl, don't tug on her heart strings, go straight for the G-Spot!
Of course every girl is different but let's face it, wouldn't it be better if you had that slight advantage in the bedroom? If you had those little extra tools needed to help push her over the top? We're not talking 50 shades of Grey, or sex toys, or role playing, that's a whole ’nother article. Today we're talking condoms, and not just any condoms, we're talking "The Best Feeling Condoms for a Woman" condoms! And who better to talk condoms than a condom company? I mean come on, we've been writing about and talking about condoms since 1996. I would think 20 plus years in the condom business would automatically make us somewhat of a condom guru wouldn't you say?
Ok Romeo, I hear what you're thinking. You might have game in the bedroom and think "I got this" or "I don't need any Help" but do you really know what condoms are best for her? Do you know what is the best condom for "Her Pleasure"? How many times have you gone to the store to buy condoms and just grabbed the first package that looked cool or didn't even read what you were buying because you just wanted to get the hell out of the isle before someone you knew saw you.
You probably don’t give much thought to condoms when it comes to pleasing your partner. I mean you mainly use them to protect yourself from STIs and unwanted pregnancy, and after all their effectiveness is the highest priority right? Well that may be the case but don't sell yourself short. There are hundreds of different condoms on the market and all of them are safe and effective if they are FDA approved condoms (*We don't recommend Trojan Lambskin as they are not effective against STI's) When you're buying a condom for her pleasure you need more than just protection you need "that little extra" to help push her over the top, that we we're talking about.
With so many condoms on the market many men don't realize there are actually condoms designed to enhance a woman's experience. There are several different types of condoms made specifically for her pleasure. Some women like a studded or ribbed condom, while others may prefer a vegan condom or a non latex condom. A quick tip for anyone looking to enhance your condom experience is to place a single drop of condom safe lubricant on the inside of the condom before rolling it on. This will greatly decrease breakage while enhancing pleasure and piece of mind.
Keep in mind that everyone is different, there will always be favorites for one woman while others may disagree. We like to compare condoms to shoes and hats. While some fit great others just don't feel as good or as comfortable. It all boils down to her personal preference.
Years of condom sales along with solid feedback from countless customers has led us to the six condoms we have listed below. These six winners are the condoms we feel are the best condoms for her pleasure; and guys, ultimately if she is feeling pleasure, so will you.
As mentioned before, everyone is different, so try one, or try a few until you find a favorite. If you're really ambitious, try them all in our Lucky Lady condom sampler, the ultimate assortment of the best condoms for her.

Guys, this condom is a great condom for her because it will help prolong your sexual performance which will result in extended pleasure for both of you. The desensitizing lubricant makes this the perfect condom for guys like "two pump Tony and one pump Juan" who have premature ejaculation problems. Click here fore more info on Durex Performax Intense

Trustex Ribbed and Studded - With it's unique shape that is tailored for a man along with Ultimate texture for a woman's needs, this condom was included in the list of "best condoms for her" mainly due to great customer feedback and high sales volume. Before we get into the meat of this article we want to preface it with a quick background of our company RipNRoll Inc. RipNRoll is a condom company established way back in 1996. We were one of the first online retailers selling condoms and our first ever order was actually a mail-order purchase paid for by a money order. That was a long time ago... hundreds of millions of condoms ago actually.
Condoms have come a long way since we started way back then. More has changed than just the shapes, sizes, flavors, textures and materials, the actual uses of the condoms themselves is ever evolving and the change is quite exciting. The main change we are addressing in this article is the use of condoms for promotion. Promotional condoms, or "Printed Condoms" are exploding in the marketplace not just for the novelty of the product but also for the messages they are promoting. No matter how you look at it, printed condoms are helping remove the stigma and taboo associated with condoms of the past. Whether they are handed out at conventions, parades, block parties or concerts, the point is that they ARE being handed out and we feel that is a good thing!
If you have never seen a custom Printed Condom, you probably have no idea what they are?? Basically we take a roll blank foil, run it through a printing press that prints a logo or message on the foil, insert the condoms, seal the package and perforate between the individual condoms for easy separation. All of this from beginning to end takes a very short time so this makes for a great promotional product if it's needed quickly. The foil colors available for printing are White, Black, Gold and Red and the colors we print on the foils are unlimited as we print in 4 color process as well as spot colors.
Over the years there have been several different types of custom condoms on the market. We have sold Custom Labeled condoms, Custom Matchbook Condoms, Jollypop Condoms, Custom Foil wrapper condoms as well as custom condom keychains. We also now offer custom printed buttercup condom pods.
Since we began selling promotional condoms back in 1996, we have come to find out the best selling and most requested custom condoms are the direct print foil wrapper condoms
Our Promotional condoms are all FDA approved for disease and pregnancy prevention and go thru the same rigorous testing as any condom you will find in a store or pharmacy. The only difference in the actual condom wrapper is that it will have a clever message or logo on it instead of a brand logo like Trojan, Lifestyles or Durex. The funny thing is that even though it doesn't have a big brand name on the warpper, the condoms are actually manufactured in the same exact Manufacturing plants that some of the Big Brands are made in. Most all condoms are produced overseas in Malaysia, Thialand etc as this is where the Latex is widely manufactured due to the availability or rubber trees (the main contributor to latex condoms)
The only difference in store bought condoms versus condoms designed by you is the message on the condom. As mentioned above, there is no Big Brand Name on the condom, instead there is your message on a condom. The wrapper may be different but the condoms inside the custom wrapper are still the same FDA approved condoms
When customizing a condom wrapper you should keep in mind that the print area is pretty small. Sometimes less is more when it comes to printing on a condom wrapper. You wouldn't want to try and write a book, rather a few tag lines that make a statement for your organization, company or cause. Granted you can print anything you want to on the wrapper but it would be best to keep it simple and to the point.
Every company you can imagine literally! We have printed hundreds of thousands of condoms over the last 20 years and for every type of company imaginable. The below list is just a small spinet of companies we have printed for. Custom condoms are like a business card except people don't throw these away like business cards. Most people keep the promotional condoms and usually show them to other people.
Here are a few taglines companies have used over the years. There is always an opportunity for a laugh.

It makes a great statement, get's people talking, helps promote a positive message and definitely demands attention. Not to mention custom condoms also promote responsible sexual safety...after all they really are just condoms with a message.
Stay Safe and Let the Good times Roll.

Below is a brief bounce thru history of those little latex wonders called condoms. Condoms have come a long way in the last 3000 years and there are many things you probably did not know about the evolution of the condoms and what went into the creation of those life savers you see on the store shelves today. Hmmm, I wonder if they used condoms in the Medieval Times. Did Knights use condoms? Were there condoms before Jesus?
Pull up a chair, get your cup of coffee or pop open a beer cause we're about to dive deep into the land of Rubbers....condoms that is.
The condom is one of the oldest forms of contraception. Its history and use can be traced back thousands of years. It is believed that a form of modern-day condoms were first used by the Egyptians as far back as 1,000 B.C.
The early condom years, 100-200 AD
The earliest evidence of condom use in Europe are scenes from cave paintings at Combarelles in France. Dated 100 to 200 AD.
First Published Condom Use
The first known published description and trials regarding prophylactic condom use were recorded by the Italian Gabrielle Fallopius in the 1500's. He claimed to have invented a sheath made of linen and conducted trials amongst 1,100 men using the condom - none of who became infected with syphilis.
Origin of the word Condom
The origin of the word 'condom' is still unknown. Folklore attributes the invention to Dr. Condom or Conton, who was at the court of King Charles II in the 1600's. It is more likely, however, that the name derives from the Latin 'condus', meaning receptacle.
The 1700's
The condom, made of animal gut, became well known and increased in popularity in the 1700's. Literature of that time suggests that the condom's contraceptive (rather than just prophylactic) properties had already been realized.
In 1774 The infamous Giacomo Casanova wrote about his method of testing condoms in his memoir, detail how he would blow them up to test for holes and tears.
By 1766 many shops were producing handbills and advertisements.
Japanese are known to have used two types of condom. The 'Kawagata' or 'Kyotai' was made of thin leather and the 'Kabutogata' was made from tortoiseshell or horn.
Condoms in the 19th Century 1801-1900
Documentation also suggests that legendary 19th Century lover Casanova was a regular user of this type of contraception. He referred to condoms as 'Redingote Anglaise' (English Riding Coat).
The First Rubber Condoms...The rubber condom was developed shortly after the creation of vulcanized rubber in the 1840's, by Goodyear and Hancock. Vulcanization is the method or process of treating crude rubber with sulfur and subjecting it to intense heat. This process turns the rubber into a strong elastic material.
The First Condom Advertisement
In 1861, The first U.S. condom ad appeared in the New York Times newspaper. The ad was met with mixed reviews.
In the 1930's liquid latex manufacturing superseded crepe rubber. It is still the basis for manufacturers today. The process was less messy, less smelly and a much more controllable process in terms of quality control.
1980s HIV and AIDS, Condoms go mainstream
A once taboo and embarrassing subject, condoms were forbidden from being advertised on television, but once the HIV and AIDS scare took hold, condoms were thrust into the mainstream media. With so many people dying and contracting the disease including many notable stars, World Health Experts agreed that condoms were the best way short of abstinence to avoid HIV.
1990s and New Condom Styles Flood the market
In the 1990's new technology considerably improved the condom and enabled the production of far more sophisticated versions. There were now flavored condoms and even glow in the dark condoms along with various other shapes, sizes and textures
The Turn of the Century brings new latex Materials
Now in the new millennium a new condom revolution is making record waves in the history of the condom and the condoms future is looking brighter than ever.
In the 2000's New latex materials like Polyurethane and Polyisoprene as well as crazy new shapes and sizes continue to solidify the condoms stronghold in today's culture.
2013 Bill Gates offers $1,000,000 for new condoms
Bill Gates says New condoms made from beef tendon may be the next big thing...This story first appeared on the New Republic
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced it was disbursing $1 million in grants for a next-generation condom that does the job without the perceived pleasure trade-off. The challenge of which sparked media attention and brought focus to some of the more groundbreaking designs, including a type that will "shrink wrap" to fit the penis and a graphene-based model reported to be 100 times stronger than steel.
People today are much more comfortable buying condoms and the stigma of old is practically gone. With the introduction of HIV and the AIDS Virus, condoms in today's society are a much needed necessity. Condoms have come a long way from their beginnings over 3000 years ago and that's a fact!
Answer - Although condoms date back much farther than this; The Oldest condoms ever found were dated around the 1640's and were made of animal and fish intestines.

We've been in the condom business since 1996; Rip N Roll was actually one of the first internet retailers with a shopping cart, so yes we've been around for a while. For over two decades we have seen hundreds of condoms come and go and we've seen some pretty interesting condom names as well. Some notable condom names from the past were The Inspiral, The Speedstrip, Latex Louies and The PleasureMax just to name a few. With so many new condoms emerging every year we thought it would be fun to put together a list of the Best Condom Names.
The name a manufacturer gives to it's product is key to it's Branding, Marketing and how well it will be received in the market. After all, who would want to buy a condom named "The Popper" or "Burst of Joy" get my point? Below are the best condom names as of 2019 (at least the ones we think are the best) Obviously this list is subjective and if you have a favorite, shoot us an email and tell us your favorite name. info@ripnroll.com
The name says it all! One of the best condom names we have come across yet. If you're looking for a larger condom this name would definitely catch your eye. The Legend condom by ONE is indeed ONE of our favorites.
This name has been around for years but it still gets a great laugh to this day when someone hears the name "snugger fit" for the first time. Although it may not be our first choice to name a smaller condom, it definitely works. Lifestyles Snugger Fit condoms have been around for decades and it is still one of our best selling condoms to this day.
This condom name is a clever double entendre. When we ask different people what comes to mind when they hear Cocktail Club Condoms, some think of fun happy hour drinks while others have dirtier minds and think of a club full of cocks lol. Either way the Cocktail Club condoms from Lifestyle SKYN are our favorite flavored condoms, as well as having a great name.
This one is a favorite of ours for obvious reasons. The Intergalactic Prophylactic has been voted the best named condom in several different galaxies. These FDA approved condoms will cover your light saber in any heated battle.
When looking at condoms on the shelf, you can't help but think The Invisible condom is going to feel like nothing is there. Although you wouldn't want the condom to Ghost on you and your partner, the Invisible condom by Durex is another good condom name.
OK guys, when you really need to impress her, just leave a box of MEGA BIG BOY condoms on your nightstand. What a great name for an extra large condom. These condoms are relatively new to the market but creating quite a buzz obviously in part due to the name.
In Hinduism and Buddhism, nirvana is the highest state that someone can attain, a state of enlightenment, meaning a person's individual desires and suffering go away. ... On the other hand, if you're a Buddhist monk, you're probably not using condoms. The name is pretty good but the packaging is great! We've always said Trojan is a better marketing company than they are a condom manufacturer. Nirvana condoms by Trojan just squeak in our list of the best condom names
When you think of good sex, the words "Pure Ecstasy" might come to mind. But when you think of condoms pure ecstasy is not something that comes to mind unless your Trojan and you put the two together. This condom name is pure brilliance, one of the best in our opinion. Trojan Pure Ecstasy condoms seem to deliver in the bedroom just as well as they look on the shelves according to great reviews.
Black ice, sometimes called clear ice, is a thin coating of glaze ice on a surface, especially on roads. The ice itself is not black, but visually transparent and some of the slickest stuff around. When you see Black Ice condoms the first thing that comes to our mind is slippery, slick, thin fun. Not the best name, but a pretty good one nonetheless.
These ASSCAR Condoms are sure to crack up anyone who sees them. This is more of a fun name than anything else so we thought we would end the list with a zinger. Do you know someone who needs these, sometimes you just need to let them know. FDA Approved for disease and pregnancy prevention.
If you have any condoms you think should be on the list, let us know. These may not be the best names of all time, but they are pretty good names for the year 2019.

Since we opened our doors way back in 1997 we have constantly had the latex allergy question asked. Men and women both have complained that condoms make them itchy, irritated or even sick in extreme cases. All I can say is if you think you might be allergic, you should probably see your doctor to know for sure. In the meantime You should definitely stay away from latex condoms. If you are worried, there are many alternatives and non latex condoms on the market that you can use instead of latex. Below is information to help clear up many of the questions we continue to get at Rip n Roll.
What is latex made of and why am I allergic to it?
Latex is a flexible, elastic and relatively inexpensive material, it is a naturally produced rubber from the rubber tree. In the wild, the rubber tree, found in Africa and Southeast Asia, will grow to heights of 100 to 130 feet, and can live up to 100 years. Its most famous feature is the milky white sap, known as latex, which flows freely from the tree when a sliver of bark is removed. A rubber tree, also referred to as rubberwood, can be tapped for latex once it reaches approximately six years of age. found in Africa. Latex can be found in condoms, balloons, rubber bands, gloves, certain toys, Halloween masks, medical equipment, Dental Dams, tool handles etc, etc. You can Google "Latex Products" and see there are hundreds if not thousands of products containing latex. Most reactions to latex show up as dermatitis. Some individuals with latex allergies can have a life-threatening reaction to latex exposure, especially if they are undergoing surgery and latex gloves are used during the operation. Individuals with latex allergy can also be allergic to certain foods that are seen similarly by the body’s immune system. Likewise, if you are already allergic to certain foods, you may be at high risk for developing a latex allergy. The following foods can trigger a latex-like allergic reaction because the proteins in them mimic latex proteins as they break down in the body:
Banana, Fig, Kiwi, Peach, Grape, Celery, Papaya, Tomato, Nectarine, Avocado, Melon, Potato, Cherry, Rye, Strawberry, Wheat, Plum, Chestnut, Pineapple, Hazelnut,
Those who know they are allergic to latex should consult their doctor to see if they have this type of ‘cross-allergy’. It should be made clear that latex-based paint is made from synthetic latex and does not trigger natural rubber latex allergy.
Allergic reaction to latex condoms symptoms.
If you think you may be allergic to latex below are 3 common symptoms to look for.
Irritant contact dermatitis. The least threatening type of latex reaction, classified as a non-allergenic skin reaction. It usually occurs as a result of repeated exposure to chemicals in latex condom and results in dryness, itching, burning, scaling, and lesions of the skin.
Allergic contact dermatitis. A delayed reaction to additives used in latex processing, which results in the same type of reactions as irritant contact dermatitis (dryness, itching, burning, scaling, and lesions of the skin). The reaction, though, is more severe, spreads to more parts of the body, and lasts longer. This is more common with individuals who are constantly exposed to latex like latex gloves and latex balloons.
Immediate allergic reaction (latex hypersensitivity). The most serious reaction to latex. It can show up as rhinitis with hay fever-like symptoms, conjunctivitis (pink eye), cramps, hives, and severe itching. It is rare, but symptoms may progress to include rapid heartbeat, tremors, chest pain, difficulty breathing, low blood pressure, anaphylactic shock, or potentially, death.
Again, your medical doctor can perform allergy tests to confirm or rule out latex as the allergen culprit. Your doctor may suspect that your symptoms are related to a latex sensitivity if you have a history of exposure followed rapidly by the appearance of symptoms.
Allergic reaction to latex condoms treatment
Allergic reactions to latex can range from skin redness and itching to more serious symptoms, such as hives or gastrointestinal problems. True allergic reactions to latex rarely progress to the life-threatening conditions such as low blood pressure, difficulty breathing or rapid heart rate. However, if left untreated, these conditions could potentially result in death.
If you experience severe symptoms, call your doctor or 911 immediately, or go to the nearest emergency room.
Allergic reactions may be treated by removal of the latex product and drug treatment according to the type of symptoms developing. If the symptoms are irritant contact dermatitis, antihistamine and/or corticosteroid medicines may be enough to treat symptoms. Severe reactions should also be treated with epinephrine, intravenous fluids, and other support by hospital or emergency personnel.
If you have a severe latex allergy, it is important for you to wear a MedicAlert bracelet and carry an emergency epinephrine syringe. There is no cure for latex allergy, so the best treatment for this condition is prevention.
Men and women both can suffer from Latex Allergies so guys and girls, see your doctor if you think this might be affecting you. Your love life will thank you for it
]]>With so many customers asking us questions like, "what is the best condom" or "what is the best condom brand to use" or even "what are the best condoms for couples? ... Choosing the Best condom with so many different types, styles and brands of condoms can be tough. We decided to write this article in the hopes of explaining what you need to know to choose the best condom for you and your partner. After all, condoms are kind of like shoes or hats, they fit everyone different. So if you have ever asked the question "how do I choose a condom?", the below article might be just what you've been looking for.
by Bill Haney President/CEO of America's Condom Superstore, updated Feb 2018
Every one of us sexually active guys has been there, you have a date this weekend and you need to find the best condom. You are sure you need to be safe, just not sure which condom to choose or for that matter what brand or even what type?
So there you are, standing at the pharmacy shelf staring in total disbelief. How can there be so many condoms? It's just a penis not a rocket ship! So why do I need a Supra sonic, chrome plated, spring action, ribbed and dotted, space age polymer, silicone lubed, flared and tapered, enhanced warming super flavored condom toy? What the heck? So you grab the closest box of condoms and run out the door. If you were smart enough to pay for them you probably got that funny stare at the checkout too.
You get home just to find that the condoms you bought don't even fit right and probably smell funny too. But rather than go through the hassle of returning them, you just throw them in your nightstand drawer. These were definitely not the best condoms for you!
Let's see if we can help you with the process of finding the best condoms for you.
Store bought VS Online shopping
Sure you can stand in the store and try reading every box of condoms they sell to determine the best condoms to buy. But wouldn't it be easier to first go online and read up on all the different condoms available? You can take your time and research thoroughly all the different condom sizes and shapes. Once you find the best condom to buy then go to the store or better yet buy it online. Most online condom stores offer Fast Shipping and some even give you free condoms at checkout just for shopping with them.
What type of condom best suits your needs?
This is the most important question as need is more important than want when choosing a condom. You might want all the bells and whistles but you may need a larger condom or a smaller condom. Do condom Sizes Really Matter? or if you are allergic to latex you will need a non-latex condom material like Polyurethane or Polyisoprene. You need to know if your partner is allergic to latex as well and if you don't know you might want to be safe and go with a non-latex condom to start. There's nothing worse than giving a new girlfriend a latex allergic reaction the first time you hook up.
What type of condom best suits your wants?
Now comes the tricky part. Looking for the truly best condom to suite your wants. Here are a few points to consider when searching for the best condom for you.
Do you want to please her or are you just into it for yourself. There are many condoms designed for Her pleasure or Mutual pleasure and even condoms made for your own pleasure (textured on the inside)
Condom Brands? Do you have a specific brand you just have to have? There are many, many condom brands on the market, each with their own niche or claim to fame. You might feel safe with a trusted brand name but just remember all of the condoms sold in the US are FDA approved and must meet strict Federal standards. You will definitely save money on an off brand condom, just make sure they are not expired condoms or marked "NOVELTY USE ONLY" these are not meant for protection.
Condom Styles? There are so many different styles of condoms to choose from you almost need a degree in engineering to figure them out. Here is the basic breakdown of condom styles to choose from when searching for the best condom.
a) Thin or Sensitive - condoms that feel like they're not even there.
b) Stronger condom - Stronger condoms sometimes means thicker but not always. Some thin condoms claim to be stronger than average condoms.
c) Textured condoms - A sure fire way to get her attention but remember not every woman is into speed bumps.
d) Flavored condoms - If you plan on starting the evening with oral sex, a flavored condom might be the ticket for you. Even if you just want to experiment with your partner, try adding some spice with a mint or vanilla flavored condom.
e) colored condoms - Colored condoms are the perfect choice for black tie affairs or go green on St. Patty's Day. There are even Red White and Blue condoms for those patriotic nights. RipnRoll.com carries 10 different colors of condoms as well as those funny glow in the dark condoms.
f) non-lubed condoms - Non lubed condoms are used for many things like Microphone covers, gun covers and ultrasound machines. Non-lubed condoms also go good with warming or flavored lubricants for a spicy night of safe oral fun.
g) Desensitizing condoms - These Climax Control condoms help men last longer by delaying climax. A great condom if you are a short sprinter but not so much if you have no problem with timing as these condoms tend to make your unit go numb.
h) New shapes - Spring action, minimalist design, Spiral shapes, Pleasure pouches, even Dolphin shaped condoms. A must try for the serious condom connoisseur.
i) Vibrating condoms - Vibrating condom rings are not actually condoms but they can be used with your best condoms to enhance pleasure for her and help you last longer as well. Another must have in the best condom search.
Too many choices!
If, after all of your research and investigating is done you are still confused as to which condom is best for you, it's time to try out some condom Variety Assortments or mixes. Not all walk in stores offer these condom assortments so it is best to look online for these. America's Condom Superstore has the largest selection of condom assortments available online. With condom Variety Assortments you can experiment with the different condom styles to find the condom that best suits you. Once you find your perfect condom you can buy that brand solely in the future.
Now you're Ready!
You have finally found the best condom to get the job done and it is almost time for your Soldier to head into heated battle. You need to remember a few more things to keep you safe in the sheets.
Don't store condoms in a glove box or in your wallet, condoms hate heat! Also, don't use condoms past the expiration date and don't open condoms with your teeth. Keep them handy in your nightstand. For nights away, it is ok to keep condoms in your pocket for a day or so but no longer as condoms hate heat!
Timing is everything. Make sure you're fully aroused before you try to put on the condom. It's a good idea to be kneeling or standing while putting on a condom as this helps maintain blood flow and your erection. If you're using a flavored or non-latex condom and she's in a playful mood, you can have her apply the condom with her mouth to really get the action started. Don't try this with standard condoms unless she likes the taste of oily rubber.
When it's go time, start slow. See how shallow and slow you can go before she pulls you all in. This will give you both a chance to actually feel something before you go crazy and the anticipation will drive her wild as well.
If at any time during battle your Soldier is ambushed (the condom breaks or comes off), stop immediately and pull out. Wash your Captain and put on a new condom. If the condom comes off make sure you find it, if it's no where to be found it is most like still inside your partner and she will need to take five to take care of this situation.
After your Soldier has won his battle (after intercourse), you should hold the condom at the base and pull out slowly. This should be done while your Soldier is still at attention.
Throw away the used condom in the trash, not the toilet. If you choose the toilet they will come back to haunt you some day. Trust me, the last thing you want plugging your plumbing is used condoms!
In Closing.
Condoms have evolved substantially over the last 10 years and surely there is a perfect condom for everyone. As long as you take the time to experiment and have fun with it you should have no problem finding the best condom for you. If you just don't care and just want to try some of the best condoms without all the fuss, we would highly recommend trying the Best of the Best condom sampler from America's Condom Superstore. It has some of the best condoms on the market voted on by customers and National magazines.
Stay Safe and let the good times roll!
]]>If you have ever wondered if you are allergic to latex, you probably have asked yourself these questions. What is the difference between latex and non latex condoms? Well, aside from the obvious, there really is quite a difference. In this article we will dive deep into the difference between latex and non latex or latex Free condoms and help you decide if Non-Latex condoms are right for you.
First, we need to explain how "Latex condoms" are made, why they use latex and where exactly does the latex come from?
The first condoms manufactured were formed from the cecum of lambs. These were NOT latex condoms but rather natural lambskin condoms which are still sold to this day. These condoms were/are expensive and have tiny microscopic holes. Rip N Roll does not sell Lambskin condoms as they do not protect against STD's and we have chosen not to promote or profit from this type of condom.
Latex condoms, which account for most of today's market, are the most readily available and least expensive type of condoms. Vulcanization, the chemical linking of rubber particles that was originally developed in 1839 for use in automobile tires, was the initial process responsible for the development of Latex condoms. A form of rubber called latex was developed in the 1930s; this new material, combined with a mechanized dipping process, facilitated the mass production of condoms and lowered manufacturing costs.
Rubber latex is obtained from the milky fluid produced by various tropical plants. Latex is an emulsion or dispersion of tiny rubber particles in water, and ingredients added to the latex must be able to attach to the rubber particles during compounding.
Next, chemical additives are mixed to form a paste. This paste is then blended with the liquid latex in a process called compounding.
The latex and chemical compound is then unloaded into drums for storage, where it remains for approximately seven days. During this period, vulcanization chemically strengthens the bonds of the rubber. The storage time also allows any air, which might have been trapped in the mixture during compounding, to escape.
The compound is then added to the dipping or condom-forming machine. The dipping machine is a long, hooded machine approximately 100 feet (30.5 m) in length. Thick tempered glass rods move along a closed belt between two circular gears. The belt drags the rods, which are called mandrels, through a series of dips into the latex compound. The mandrels rotate to spread the latex evenly. Several coats are required to build the condom to its required thickness. Between each dip, the latex is hot air dried.
After the final dipping and drying, the condoms automatically roll off the mandrels. A machine shapes and trims the ring of latex at the base of each condom.
These latex condoms are then loaded into a foil package and a special lubricant that keeps the condom fresh and pliable, is added (no lubricant is added to non-lubricated condoms).
In the 1990s a few manufacturers began making non-latex male condoms for people with latex allergies who choose to use condoms. There are several different non-latex male condoms and one non-latex female condom available for sale in the U.S.
Polyurethane condoms have some advantages over latex as a condom material. One advantage is that exposure to oil-based products will not damage polyurethane. Polyurethane is also a thermoplastic elastomer, which is similar to latex, but lacks the proteins which cause allergic reactions. Polyurethane condoms such as Trojan Supras conduct heat better than latex and therefore are not as noticeable. Polyurethane condoms also are thinner than most latex condoms, and they have little to no smell. On the downside, polyurethane doesn’t stretch as much like latex or polyisoprene, so slippage and breakage rates are higher. In addition, the effectiveness of polyurethane condoms in preventing transmission of STDs is still being studied.
The easiest way to sum up Polyisoprene condoms is to say "Made by Chemists". Polyisoprene is a synthetic form of latex that has none of the proteins that cause allergic reactions. Because it is synthetic, polyisoprene is made by chemists and can not be found in nature, unlike latex, which comes from rubber trees.
Once the polyisoprene is created, it is shipped to the condom factories and processed in nearly the identical way that latex condoms are made, using the same dip method, the same testing, and the same type of packaging.
Polyisoprene condoms like the Lifestyles Skyn and Durex Real Feel are a favorite among non-latex condom users as well as anyone looking for a different type of condom feel.
Latex can be found in many things including condoms, balloons, rubber bands, gloves, certain toys, Halloween masks, medical equipment, Dental Dams, tool handles etc, etc. You can Google "Latex Products" and see there are hundreds if not thousands of products containing latex.
Many people have latex allergies and many may not even know they are allergic to latex. It is for this reason that "Non-Latex" condoms were introduced to the market in the 1990's.
Most reactions to latex show up as dermatitis. Some individuals with latex allergies can have a life-threatening reaction to latex exposure, especially if they are undergoing surgery and latex gloves are used during the operation.
For more details on Latex Allergies we encourage you to visit our Full article on Latex Allergies here.
Non Latex condoms have come a long way over the years and while they may be a bit more expensive, they are still a better option for preventing pregnancy and disease than to use no condom at all. If you have never tried using a latex free condom, it might be a fun experience for you and your partner. Now to answer the question which is better? We will need to leave that up to you to decide as everyone is made different and what you might think is the best might not be the same for someone else. The Rip N Roll Gang

If you're not sure how to use a condom or even if you think you know how to, keep reading, you just might learn something. Many people don't know how to put on a condom correctly and consistently every time, and most people don't know that using a condom correctly greatly reduces the failure rate and greatly reduces the chance of the condom breaking. Below, we have made it easy with condom pictures. If you're not sure how a condom unrolls, you should experiment with a condom before ever having sex. Grip, Rip n Roll a few times, practice makes perfect.
1. First of all everyone should know by now that you shouldn't keep your condoms in a hot glove box or in your wallet, condoms do not like heat, as a matter of fact they hate heat! Check the condoms expiration date, as a safeguard, you should never use condoms past the expiration date. Most condoms have a five year shelf life from the date of manufacture. Condoms with spermicide usually only have a 3 year shelf life. Try not to use your teeth to open the wrapper and don't use scissors either you bonehead!!!
2. If you're using a Latex condom, don't ever use oil based lubrication such as skin lotions, baby oil, Vaseline or cold cream - the oil in these products weakens the Latex and will cause the condom to break. Always use water based, silicone or latex compatible lubricants with Latex condoms. If you must use oil based lubricants use polyurethane condoms, these are safe to use with oil based lubes.
If you are in the heat of battle and think you are ready... then the time has come to cover your Captain (Captains at full attention and ready for battle). Carefully "RIP" open your favorite condoms wrapper, being careful not to use your teeth, *place a drop or 2 of your favorite water based lubricant inside the tip of the condom, this will greatly decrease the chances of the condom breaking and will also add more sensation. Never let your Captain touch your partner before he is securely covered.
Make sure your condom is upright to roll, condoms roll on much better this way.. DUH!
When you put on the condom, hold the condom by the tip to squeeze out any air. Leave some space at the tip to hold any and all fluids and "ROLL" the rest down to your Captains base.
If your Captain is intact (has a foreskin), put the condom on with the foreskin pushed back. After you have Rolled and are covered, push the foreskin forward (toward the tip). This lets the foreskin move without breaking the condom.
(Optional but recommended) Place more water based lubricant on the outside of the condom. Remember, "Wetter is Better".
If at any time during battle (intercourse) your Captain is ambushed (the condom breaks or comes off), stop immediately and pull out. Wash your Captain and put on a new condom.
After your Captain has won his battle (after intercourse), *you should hold the condom at the base and pull out slowly. This should be done while your Captain is still at attention.
Throw away the used condom in the trash, not the toilet. If you choose the toilet they will come back to haunt you some day. Trust me, the last thing you want plugging your plumbing is used condoms your plumber will thank you too!
Never re-use condoms ( recycled rubbers? ) even if you like to recycle or are one of them "green people" use a new condom every time you have contact, they are not that expensive...really!

My husband and I have been together for eight years, and we had sex without a condom for the first time last month.
Yes, that’s right. Before one month ago, our genitals had never actually touched each other without a condom between them. Never. Not once. Not even the tip. Not for a second.
“But, WHY!?!” people will ask as confused and curious and somewhat concerned as you may be right now. As a sexuality educator, I blog about my sex life and how it relates to larger sociocultural sexuality topics, so it has been no secret to my friends and followers about our choice to use a condom every time, and we get a whole lot of “but, WHY!?!”
That confusion arises because when it comes to sexuality and human nature, so often we assume that everyone else is just like us, and therefore other people do their sexuality the way same way we do ours. For some folks, gleefully ditching condoms upon marriage is the way they do their sexuality, so they just don’t realize how different people have different reproductive needs, relationship arrangements, pleasure experiences , sex rituals, personal histories, and private beliefs about sexuality, and that as a consequence, they may find that condoms really work for them, even in a marriage.
In the interest of expanding your sexual world view about the diversity of condom experiences, I give you 7 reasons married couples might choose to use condoms:

Everyone has seen one at one time or another, a used condom. It's not the prettiest site that's for sure. And why is it that used condoms always seem to show up at the worst time or in the worst possible places?
One day at the grocery store I was trying to be a nice guy and walk the elderly lady to her car. She had more groceries than she could handle and she could barely walk. So I'm standing there smiling while she's thanking me for my help and low and behold I see it! The damn used condom laying about a foot from her car on the drivers side. I know that if she gets in her car she's gonna see it too but just the thought of her asking me........ eeewwww! And then there's the time I was with my little cousin at the ball field. He walks up to me with this confused look on his little face and asks me "What's this?" Of course I have to say quickly "It's a dirty balloon, put it down!"
There is no reason anyone should be subjected to used condoms, it's just wrong! With millions being sold each year in the US alone, there has to be better condom etiquette among you condom users out there, really! Why do you think the next guy should pick up your dirty used condom? If you have the time to put it on and take it off, you have the time to be responsible and throw it away "PROPERLY"!
So, this brings me to this article, what do you do with all the used condoms? First of all here is a list of "Don'ts"
What NOT to do with a used condom
Don't throw used condoms in the toilet, really. It says it on all the condom boxes and instructions if you take the time to read. Condoms can get snagged on debris in plumbing pipes and actually back up your plumbing. Then the plumbers have to come out and roto-root your pipes with a plumbing snake and it will be pretty embarrassing when they pull out all of your condoms from the last three years!!
Don't throw used condoms on the ground! If you had kids would you want them picking them up? Would you want your grandmother to have to see a used condom laying next to her car?
Don't throw used condoms down the garbage sink disposal. Even if you're using the kitchen table for your own kinky fun, it's still a bad idea to plug up the plumbing.
Don't throw used condoms in the water at the beach or in the lake at the park. Used condoms float and they always wash up on shore, usually when someone is getting married on the beach!
Don't throw used condoms in the recycling bins. I mean really! Are there that many stupid people out there? When I heard this one.......?
The correct way to dispose of a used condom.
Say excuse me honey while I do the responsible thing and throw this away. Or I need just a second to get rid of this the right way. Then you wrap the used condom in a tissue or piece of paper and throw it in the trash. Guys, did you happen to hear the part about wrapping it up in tissue or paper? We need to do this!! A used condom is just that, it's used, it's old, it's done. Wrap it up and throw it away.
Got babies at home, throw your used condom in the Diaper Genie! I know people with kids know what a diaper genie is. It's that thing you throw old diapers in so they don't smell up the house. If you have a diaper genie, use it for your used condoms too!
If you're in your car, and it's time to throw out the used condom, don't throw it outside! Put it in the ashtray till you get home or until you find a trashcan. Be Responsible!
If your on a boat, don't throw used condoms overboard! Put it in an empty coke can or beer can until you find a trash can.
OK this is really just silly. If you are old enough to have safe sex, you are old enough to know that used condoms don't belong in public places, on the ground, hanging in trees or anywhere else but in the trash! Be responsible with your used condoms.
I Know you're not dumb, after all you were smart enough to use condom protection so I know you're smart enough to throw them away properly.
Be responsible.
Condom use shows responsibility
so do the right thing and throw em away!
Used condoms are for the trash!
]]>Genital human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI). The virus infects the skin and mucous membranes. There are more than 40 HPV types that can infect the genital areas of men and women, including the skin of the penis, vulva (area outside the vagina), and anus, and the linings of the vagina, cervix, and rectum. You cannot see HPV. Most people who become infected with HPV do not even know they have it.
What are the symptoms and potential health consequence of HPV?
Most people with HPV do not develop symptoms or health problems. But sometimes, certain types of HPV can cause genital warts in men and women. Other HPV types can cause cervical cancer and other less common cancers, such as cancers of the vulva, vagina, anus, and penis. The types of HPV that can cause genital warts are not the same as the types that can cause cancer.
HPV types are often referred to as “low-risk” (wart-causing) or “high-risk” (cancer-causing), based on whether they put a person at risk for cancer. In 90% of cases, the body’s immune system clears the HPV infection naturally within two years. This is true of both high-risk and low-risk types.
Genital warts usually appear as small bumps or groups of bumps, usually in the genital area. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, small or large, and sometimes cauliflower shaped. They can appear on the vulva, in or around the vagina or anus, on the cervix, and on the penis, scrotum, groin, or thigh. Warts may appear within weeks or months after sexual contact with an infected person. Or, they may not appear at all. If left untreated, genital warts may go away, remain unchanged, or increase in size or number. They will not turn into cancer.
Cervical cancer does not have symptoms until it is quite advanced. For this reason, it is important for women to get screened regularly for cervical cancer.
Other less common HPV-related cancers, such as cancers of the vulva, vagina, anus and penis, also may not have signs or symptoms until they are advanced.
How do people get genital HPV infections?
Genital HPV is passed on through genital contact, most often during vaginal and anal sex. A person can have HPV even if years have passed since he or she had sex. Most infected persons do not realize they are infected or that they are passing the virus to a sex partner.
Very rarely, a pregnant woman with genital HPV can pass HPV to her baby during vaginal delivery. In these cases, the child may develop warts in the throat or voice box – a condition called recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP).
How does HPV cause genital warts and cancer?
HPV can cause normal cells on infected skin or mucous membranes to turn abnormal. Most of the time, you cannot see or feel these cell changes. In most cases, the body fights off HPV naturally and the infected cells then go back to normal.
Sometimes, low-risk types of HPV can cause visible changes that take the form of genital warts.
How Common are HPV and related diseases?
HPV infection. Approximately 20 million Americans are currently infected with HPV, and another 6.2 million people become newly infected each year. At least 50% of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives.
Genital warts. About 1% of sexually active adults in the U.S. have genital warts at any one time.
Cervical cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2008, 11,070 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer in the U.S.
Other HPV-related cancers are much less common than cervical cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2008, there will be:
Certain populations may be at higher risk for HPV-related cancers, such as gay and bisexual men, and individuals with weak immune systems (including those who have HIV/AIDS).
RRP is very rare. It is estimated that less than 2,000 children get RRP every year.
How can people prevent HPV?
A vaccine can now protect females from the four types of HPV that cause most cervical cancers and genital warts. The vaccine is recommended for 11 and 12 year-old girls. It is also recommended for girls and women age 13 through 26 who have not yet been vaccinated or completed the vaccine series.
For those who choose to be sexually active, condoms may lower the risk of HPV, if used all the time and the right way. Condoms may also lower the risk of developing HPV-related diseases, such as genital warts and cervical cancer. But HPV can infect areas that are not covered by a condom—so condoms may not fully protect against HPV. So the only sure way to prevent HPV is to avoid all sexual activity.
Individuals can also lower their chances of getting HPV by being in a mutually faithful relationship with someone who has had no or few sex partners. However, even people with only one lifetime sex partner can get HPV, if their partner was infected with HPV. For those who are not in long-term mutually monogamous relationships, limiting the number of sex partners and choosing a partner less likely to be infected may lower the risk of HPV. Partners less likely to be infected include those who have had no or few prior sex partners. But it may not be possible to determine if a partner who has been sexually active in the past is currently infected.
How can people prevent HPV related diseases?
There are important steps girls and women can take to prevent cervical cancer. The HPV vaccine can protect against most cervical cancers (see above). Cervical cancer can also be prevented with routine cervical cancer screening and follow-up of abnormal results. The Pap test can identify abnormal or pre-cancerous changes in the cervix so that they can be removed before cancer develops. An HPV DNA test, which can find high-risk HPV on a woman’s cervix, may also be used with a Pap test in certain cases. The HPV test can help healthcare professionals decide if more tests or treatment are needed. Even women who got the vaccine when they were younger need regular cervical cancer screening because the vaccine does not protect against all cervical cancers.
There is currently no vaccine licensed to prevent HPV-related diseases in men. Studies are now being done to find out if the vaccine is also safe in men, and if it can protect them against HPV and related conditions. The FDA will consider licensing the vaccine for boys and men if there is proof that it is safe and effective for them. There is also no approved screening test to find early signs of penile or anal cancer. Some experts recommend yearly anal Pap tests for gay and bisexual men and for HIV-positive persons because anal cancer is more common in these populations. Scientists are still studying how best to screen for penile and anal cancers in those who may be at highest risk for those diseases.
Generally, cesarean delivery is not recommended for women with genital warts to prevent RRP in their babies. This is because it is unclear whether cesarean delivery actually prevents RRP in infants and children.
Is there a test for HPV?
The HPV test on the market is only used as part of cervical cancer screening. There is no general test for men or women to check one’s overall “HPV status.” HPV usually goes away on its own, without causing health problems. So an HPV infection that is found today will most likely not be there a year or two from now. For this reason, there is no need to be tested just to find out if you have HPV now. However, you should get tested for signs of disease that HPV can cause, such as cervical cancer.
Genital warts are diagnosed by visual inspection. Some health care providers may use acetic acid, a vinegar solution, to help identify flat warts. But this is not a sensitive test so it may wrongly identify normal skin as a wart.
Cervical cell changes (early signs of cervical cancer) can be identified by routine Pap tests. The HPV test can identify high-risk HPV types on a woman’s cervix, which can cause cervical cell changes and cancer.
Is there a treatment for HPV?
There is no treatment for the virus itself, but a healthy immune system can usually fight off HPV naturally. There are treatments for the diseases that HPV can cause:
Visible genital warts can be removed by patient-applied medications, or by treatments performed by a health care provider. Some individuals choose to forego treatment to see if the warts will disappear on their own. No one treatment is better than another.
Cervical cancer is most treatable when it is diagnosed and treated early. There are new forms of surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy available for patients [see www.cancer.org]. But women who get routine Pap testing and follow up as needed can identify problems before cancer develops. Prevention is always better than treatment.
Other HPV-related cancers are also more treatable when diagnosed and treated early. There are new forms of surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy available for patients. [see www.cancer.org ]

Question - How old do I have to be to buy condoms? Is there a certain legal age?
Answer - There is no legal age you must be to buy condoms. It is possible to buy condoms at any age no matter how old you are although it is always better to be abstinent. If you are not sexually active, good for you, you are one of a number of young adults who are making the promise. The promise is a promise to yourself that you will not have sex until you are married. You can be sure you won't get pregnant or get someone pregnant and you will not contract HIV or an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) from sexual activity. After all, the only sure way to be 100% protected from HIV / AIDS during sex is to abstain from or stay away from sexual activity altogether. If you are young, it's probably the best thing to do anyway. I don’t think anyone is disputing that abstinence is the safest and best choice for teenagers. But research suggests that teens who participate in abstinence-only sex education programs or make so-called “purity pledges” promising to remain virgins until marriage are just as likely to have sex as teens who don’t -- and are less likely to take precautions when they do have sex. Condoms, not promises, help teens
Question - What if I am sexually active, will I get in trouble for buying condoms?
Answer - Absolutely not! If you are sexually active, it is your responsibility to keep you and your partner protected from Sexually Transmitted Diseases with responsible sexual behavior and the correct use of condoms. If you are very young you will not get in trouble for buying condoms, although the sales clerk or pharmacist may give you a look. Speaking as a dad, I would be sad and disappointed if I found out my child was having sex without talking to me first but............. I would be mad as hell if I found out my child was having unprotected sex!
If you are having sex it's a decision you will have to live with, but if you have unprotected sex, it's a decision you might regret if someone gets pregnant or a decision you might possibly die with if you get AIDS. Bottom line, stay safe!
Question - My mom won't let me buy condoms, what do I do?
Answer - There are plenty of places to buy condoms, so not using them is not the answer.
Let me first say, you should try to talk to your parents. If you can't talk to your parents or they wont talk to you then try to talk with your counselor, sex educator or at the very least learn how to put a condom on correctly and make sure you use them every time
If you must have sex without your parents consent or knowing, than please at least try to talk to your doctor, school counselor or Healthcare professional and most of all please, please stay safe and Rip n Roll (use a condom and use it correctly).
If you can't buy condoms in stores or are scared to, your doctor or local health center or Planned Parenthood center, will surely help you out. I know that you are reading this article and that means you probably want to stay safe and protected so good for you!
If you can't find condoms anywhere else. You can buy condoms online right here at America's Condom SuperStore.

One of the most frequently asked questions here at Rip n Roll is "How can I tell when a condom was made?"
This question is usually prefaced by "I found a condom in my husband or boyfriends car or pants and he swears it is an old condom that was just laying around, but how can I tell when it was made"?
The truth is easy to find out by just looking at the expiration date on the condom. Most all condoms have a 5 year expiration date from the time of manufacture but condoms that contain spermicide will only have a 3 year expiration date.
So looking at the expiration date in the image above you can see this condom expires on January 31, 2023 which means this condom was manufactured 5 years ago on January 31, 2018. (this condom does not contain spermicide)
So to put this into perspective, if your boyfriend or husband says that this condom you found is several years old (today's date is August 27 of 2018) this would not be accurate as the condom was only manufactured 8 months ago.
Another consideration to take into account is that when condoms are manufactured, it usually takes several months for the condoms to make it to the store shelves. The reason for this is after a condom is manufactured, there is transit time from the overseas manufacturing plant in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan etc..
There is also a wait time for condoms to be tested once they reach the US. When condoms arrive in the US, they are inspected by the FDA before being released to the Public.
So long story short, it can take several months after the manufacturing date for a condom to even reach the point of sale. Even if you think they are cheating or there's a good chance they are, if you find a condom, take into consideration the above factors before you decide if your partner is a dog or not.
On the bright side, if they are cheating, at least the dog is practicing safe sex.
Even if a condom is stored safely, its rate of expiration is still influenced by the material it’s made from and whether it’s been manufactured with any additives that shorten its life span.
Natural latex and polyurethane condoms have the longest shelf lives. They can last up to five years, and they’re more resilient than some other condoms in the face of wear and tear.
These condoms have a slightly shorter shelf life — just three years — when packaged with spermicide. Spermicide causes latex and polyurethane to degrader faster. (Rip N Roll does not sell ANY condoms with Spermicide, here's why)
Polyisoprene condoms are just behind latex condoms. Condoms made with this type of artificial rubber can last up to three years with proper storage. Additives like spermicide can also shorten this condom’s lifespan.
Non-latex, natural condoms — such as lambskin or sheepskin — have the shortest shelf life. They only last one year from the date they’re manufactured. It’s unclear whether spermicide or other additives have an effect on expiration. It’s also important to note that these condoms don’t protect against STIs.
Hope this helps - Rip N Roll

Updated 3-07-2019
Here at America's Condom Superstore, we have been in the "Rubber Business" so to speak for over 20 years now. We have seen hundreds of condom brands as well as thousands of condom styles, shapes and sizes come and go over the last 2 decades. Condoms come in so many different varieties that you almost need a degree in engineering to buy the condom that's right for you.
Today we will address the "Larger Condoms" and what we feel are the 10 best large condoms on the market today (as of October 2016)
Weekly we get questions from our valued customers just like the one from James in Miami.
"Dear Rip n Roll, I have a hard time finding large condoms in my area. It seems like all I can find are Trojan Magnum and Magnum XL condoms. Unfortunately I don't like either one. They usually break or feel to tight in the headroom region, what would you recommend for me and my girlfriend? - James"
Well James, yours is not a unique problem, and actually yours is one of the most common questions we receive. mainly because very few brick and mortar retailers carry the great assortment of large condoms that a larger endowed man actually requires.
Statistics show that 15%-20% of men surveyed actually need a bigger or roomier condom. You would think with all these larger than average men out there the stores would catch a clue. When a condom is too tight or constricting, the user will experience discomfort and there is a greater potential of the condom breaking.
Using a larger condom that fits properly will make your experience more enjoyable and give you piece of mind knowing the condom is less likely to break – allowing you and your partner both to focus on each other and not the discomfort of a condom that is too small.
Fortunately, here at America's Condom Superstore, we have a huge selection of larger sized condoms. There are lots of options to choose from but we will outline here the top 10 large condoms we feel are the best on the market today. If you are unsure of "Your Condom Size" check out our condom size chart to help you determine the right size condom for you.
NEW Mega Big Boy Condoms - A brand new Large condom to hit the US Market. This new condom is touted as the Largest condom available in the US. Designed by Beyond Seven, the new Mega Big Boy is longer and wider than other large condoms. Beyond Seven condoms are manufactured by the Okamoto company a Japanese condom company known for their extra strong, extra thin condoms.
Trojan Magnum THIN condoms - Filling the needed gap for larger sized thin condoms. Magnum Thin are the first thin large condoms from Trojan. Still with the same Magnum condoms size but thinner than regular Magnum condoms for sensitivity. Tapered at the base for a secure fit.
Trojan Magnum XL condoms - One of the largest condoms that we carry here at Rip n Roll. Wide and long it is a considerable large sized condom even more spacious than the standard Magnum. Designed for men who feel an average or large condom is still too small, The XL has a tapered base for a more secure fit. Trojan’s Magnum XLs are 30% wider than average sized condoms.
Trojan Magnum Bareskin Condoms - The thinnest MAGNUM™ condom, designed to provide heightened sensitivity and comfort. Larger than standard latex condoms for extra comfort, Wider, contoured shape for added comfort, Tapered at the base for a secure fit, Silky smooth lubricant for comfort and sensitivity. Special reservoir end for extra safety.
BONUS LARGE CONDOM - Trojan Magnum Ribbed Condoms - I know I said 10 best but here is a little bonus....The Ribbed MAGNUM™ condom, designed to provide heightened sensitivity and comfort. With Spiral ribbing toward the tip to increase stimulation for his most sensitive area and Spiral ribbing toward the open end to increase stimulation for her most sensitive area.
If you are new to the larger condoms scene, we suggest trying our Large condoms assortment sampler
So there you have it. Hopefully this was all the information you needed to determine what is the best Large condom for your larger than average penis. If you are still unsure of which bigger condom is right for you, Give us a call, we will be glad to help you decide. If you are too scared to buy condoms in a store, we are sure you will enjoy buying condoms online, in the privacy of your home, from www.RipnRoll.com

]]>CDC / HIV AIDS UPDATE
From The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Like all sexual activity, oral sex carries some risk, particularly when one partner or the other is known to be infected with HIV, when either partner’s HIV status is not known, and/or when one or the other partner is not monogamous or injects drugs. Numerous studies have demonstrated that oral sex can result in the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Abstaining from oral, anal, and vaginal sex all together or having sex only with a mutually monogamous, uninfected partner are the only ways that individuals can be completely protected from the sexual transmission of HIV.
Oral sex involves giving or receiving oral stimulation (i.e. sucking or licking) to the penis, the vagina, and/or the anus. Fellatio is the technical term used to describe oral contact with the penis. Cunnilingus is the technical term which describes oral-vaginal sex. Anilingus (sometimes called “rimming”) refers to oral-anal contact. Studies indicate that oral sex is commonly practiced by sexually active male-female and same-gender couples of various ages, including adolescents. Although there are only limited national data about how often adolescents engage in oral sex, some data suggest that many adolescents who engage in oral sex do not consider it to be sex; therefore they may use oral sex as an option to experience sex while still, in their minds, remaining abstinent. Moreover, many consider oral sex to be a safe or no risk sexual practice. In a recent national survey of teens conducted for The Kaiser Family Foundation, 26% of sexually active 15 to 17 year olds surveyedresponded that one “cannot become infected with HIV by having unprotected oral sex”, and an additional 15% didn’t know whether or not one could become infected in that manner.
The risk of HIV transmission from an infected partner through oral sex is much smaller than the risk of HIV transmission from anal or vaginal sex. Because of this, measuring the exact risk of HIV transmission as a result of oral sex is very difficult. In addition, since most sexually active individuals practice oral sex in addition to other forms of sex, such as vaginal and/or anal sex, when transmission occurs, it is difficult to determine whether or not it occurred as a result of oral sex or other more risky sexual activities. Finally, several co-factors can increase the risk of HIV transmission through oral sex, including: oral ulcers, bleeding gums, genital sores, and the presence of other STDs. When scientists describe the risk of transmitting an infectious disease, like HIV, the term “theoretical risk” is often used. Very simply, “theoretical risk” means that passing an infection from one person to another is possible, even though there may not yet be any actual documented cases. “Theoretical risk” is not the same as likelihood. In other words, stating that HIV infection is “theoretically possible” does not necessarily mean it is likely to happen—only that it might. Documented risk, on the other hand, is used to describe transmission that has actually occurred, been investigated, and documented in the scientific literature.
Theoretical and Documented Risk of HIV Transmission During Oral-Penile Contact |
|
Theoretical Risks |
|
In fellatio, there is a theoretical risk of transmission for the receptive partner (the person who is sucking) because infected pre-ejaculate ("pre-cum") fluid or semen can get into the mouth. For the insertive partner (the person who is being sucked), there is a theoretical risk of infection because infected blood from a partner's bleeding gums or an open sore could come in contact with a scratch, cut, or sore on the penis. |
|
Documented Risks |
|
Although the risk is many times smaller than anal or vaginal sex, HIV has been transmitted to receptive partners through fellatio, even in cases when insertive partners didn't ejaculate ("cum").
Theoretical and Documented Risk of HIV Transmission During Oral-Vaginal Contact |
|
Theoretical Risks |
|
Cunnilingus carries a theoretical risk of HIV transmission for the insertive partner (the person who is licking or sucking the vaginal area) because infected vaginal fluids and blood can get into the mouth. (This includes, but is not limited to, menstrual blood). Likewise, there is a theoretical risk of HIV transmission during cunnilingus for the receptive partner (the person who is having her vagina licked or sucked) if infected blood from oral sores or bleeding gums comes in contact with vulvar or vaginal cuts or sores.
Documented Risks |
|
The risk of HIV transmission during cunnilingus is extremely low compared to vaginal and anal sex. However, there have been a few cases of HIV transmission most likely resulting from oral-vaginal sex.
Theoretical and Documented Risk of HIV Transmission During Oral-Anal Contact |
|
Theoretical Risks | |
Anilingus carries a theoretical risk of transmission for the insertive partner (the person who is licking or sucking the anus) if there is exposure to infected blood, either through bloody fecal matter (bodily waste) or cuts/sores in the anal area. Anilingus carries a theoretical risk to the receptive partner (the person who is being licked/sucked) if infected blood in saliva comes in contact with anal/rectal lining. |
|
Documented Risks | |
There has been one published case of HIV transmission associated with oral-anal sexual contact.
Scientists have documented a number of other sexually transmitted diseases that have also been transmitted through oral sex. Herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, genital warts (HPV), intestinal parasites (amebiasis), and hepatitis A are examples of STDs which can be transmitted during oral sex with an infected partner. For more information see Oral Sex and STDs Fact Sheet. Reducing the Risk of HIV Transmission Through Oral Sex The consequences of HIV infection are life-long, life-threatening, and extremely serious. You can lower any already low risk of getting HIV from oral sex by using latex condoms each and every time. For cunnilingus or anilingus, plastic food wrap, a condom cut open, or a dental dam can serve as a physical barrier to prevent transmission of HIV and many other STDs. Because anal and vaginal sex are much riskier and because most individuals who engage in unprotected (i.e. without a condom) oral sex also engage in unprotected anal and/or vaginal sex, the exact proportion of HIV infections attributable to oral sex alone is unknown, but is likely to be very small. This has led some people to believe that oral sex is completely safe. It is not.

The Florida Department of Health made the announcement Tuesday Aug 1st, 2017
The infected individual was diagnosed with Zika after having sexual contact with a partner who recently traveled to Cuba and was sick with symptoms of the virus.
Health officials stressed there is no evidence that mosquitoes are transmitting Zika anywhere in the state.
The name and sex of the person infected were not disclosed.
The department stressed that Zika can be transmitted sexually and to take precautions ( the CDC is recommending the use of condoms) if you or your partner are traveling to a location where the Zika virus is active.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has previously confirmed cases of the Zika virus that were sexually transmitted.
The confirmation brings the total number of Zika viruses in Florida this year to 118.
Content Source - Centers For Disease Control
A: Zika virus disease is caused by the Zika virus, which is spread to people primarily through the bite of an infected mosquito (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting up to a week, and many people do not have symptoms or will have only mild symptoms. However, Zika virus infection during pregnancy can cause a serious birth defect called microcephaly and other severe brain defects.
A: Many people infected with Zika will have no symptoms or mild symptoms that last several days to a week. However, Zika infection during pregnancy can cause a serious birth defect called microcephaly and other severe fetal brain defects. Current research suggests that Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), an uncommon sickness of the nervous system, is strongly associated with Zika; however, only a small proportion of people with recent Zika virus infection get GBS.
Once someone has been infected with Zika, it’s very likely they’ll be protected from future infections. There is no evidence that past Zika infection poses an increased risk of birth defects in future pregnancies.
A: Zika is spread to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus). A pregnant woman can pass Zika to her fetus during pregnancy or around the time of birth. Also, a person with Zika can pass it to his or her sex partners. We encourage people who have traveled to or live in places with risk of Zika to protect themselves by preventing mosquito bites and sexual transmission of Zika.
A: No. Pregnant women should not travel to any area with risk of Zika. Travelers who go to places with risk of Zika can be infected with Zika, and Zika infection during pregnancy can cause microcephaly and other severe brain defects.
A: Travelers who go to places with risk of Zika can be infected with Zika, and CDC has issued travel recommendations for people traveling to areas with a CDC Zika Travel Notice. Many people will have mild or no symptoms. However, Zika can cause microcephaly and other severe birth defects. For this reason, pregnant women should not travel to any area with risk of Zika, and women trying to get pregnant should talk to their doctors before traveling or before their sex partners travel to an area with risk of Zika. It is especially important that women who wish to delay or avoid pregnancy consistently use the most effective method of birth control that they are able to use. Those traveling to areas with risk of Zika should take steps during and after they travel to prevent mosquito bites and sexual transmission of Zika.
A: The best way to prevent Zika is to protect yourself and your family from mosquito bites:
Zika can be spread by a person infected with Zika to his or her sex partners. Condoms can reduce the chance of getting Zika from sex. Condoms include male and female condoms. To be effective, condoms should be used from start to finish, every time during vaginal, anal, and oral sex and the sharing of sex toys. Not having sex eliminates the risk of getting Zika from sex. Pregnant couples with a partner who traveled to or lives in an area with risk of Zika should use condoms every time they have sex or not have sex during the pregnancy.
A: The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, headache, joint pain, red eyes, and muscle pain. Many people infected with Zika won’t have symptoms or will have mild symptoms, which can last for several days to a week.
A: To diagnose Zika, your doctor will ask you about recent travel and symptoms you may have, and collect blood or urine to test for Zika or similar viruses.
A: Zika virus testing is performed at CDC and some state and territorial health departments. See your doctor if you have Zika symptoms and have recently been in an area with risk of Zika. Your doctor may order tests to look for Zika or similar viruses like dengue and chikungunya.
A: Pregnant women who have recently traveled to an area with risk of Zika should talk to their doctor about their travel, even if they don’t feel sick. Pregnant women should see a doctor if they have any Zika symptoms during their trip or after traveling. All pregnant women can protect themselves by avoiding travel to an area with risk of Zika, preventing mosquito bites, and following recommended precautions against getting Zika through sex.
A: Currently, there is no evidence that a woman who has recovered from Zika virus infection (the virus has cleared her body) will have Zika-related pregnancy complications in the future. Based on information about similar infections, once a person has been infected with Zika virus and has cleared the virus from his or her body, he or she is likely to be protected from future Zika infections.
If you’re thinking about having a baby in the near future and you or your partner live in or traveled to an area with risk of Zika, talk with your doctor or other healthcare provider.
A: Men who have traveled to a place with a CDC Zika travel notice or a red area of Zika active transmission in the United States should wait at least 6 months after travel (or 6 months after symptoms started if they get sick) before trying to conceive with their partner. Women should wait at least 8 weeks after travel (or 8 weeks after symptoms started if they get sick) before trying to get pregnant. The waiting period is longer for men because Zika stays in semen longer than in other body fluids. Travelers to areas with risk of Zika but no CDC Zika travel notice should talk to their healthcare provider. Travelers to yellow Zika cautionary areas can consider waiting these timeframes before trying to conceive. If either partner has symptoms of Zika or tests positive for Zika after travel, they should follow the suggested timeframes above before trying to get pregnant.
A: To prevent Zika and other diseases spread by mosquitoes, use Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered insect repellents on exposed skin. The insect repellent should include one of the following ingredients: DEET, picaridin, IR3535, oil of lemon eucalyptus, para-menthane-diol, or 2-undecanone. Higher percentages of active ingredient provide longer protection. Always follow the label instructions when using insect repellent.

]]>So the question is "are cheap condoms safe?" Well, I guess you could say "cheap" is a relative term. I mean what do you consider cheap? There are bargain condom deals and then there are plain old Cheap Manufactured condoms from China like you find on Ebay or Amazon.
At RipnRoll, First of all we don't sell ANY condoms from China. In the 25+ years we have been selling condoms, we have seen more recalls from discount condoms made in China than from anywhere else. Condoms made in Japan, now that's a different story. Japanese condoms are some of the highest quality, safest condoms we carry. Japanese condoms are definitely not cheaply made but you can find them at a cheap price in many cases. So the answer to the question is kind of twofold. You can buy inexpensive condoms that are safe, but you can also buy cheaply made condoms that are not as safe due to the low manufacturing standards and low quality. Fortunately the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulates all condoms imported into the US and most of the condoms you buy here must adhere to the FDA standards set forth in the US.
A good way to buy condoms safely and at a big discount is to buy condoms online in bulk. There are many online condoms stores like RipnRoll.com that sell good quality condoms at a very low price. The trick to buying in bulk is to purchase condoms in higher quantities like a 100 pack or even a case of 1000 condoms. When buying 1000 condoms or more, you can regularly see prices as low as $0.08 cents per condom as with our Ultrashape condoms.
First and foremost, any condoms you are looking to purchase should be FDA approved. There is a reason these standards are in place and FDA approved means the condoms have been randomly tested on top of the strict guidelines the manufacturers must adhere to. Secondly, make sure the condoms you purchase are fresh with long expiration dates. All condoms manufactured have exp dates of 5 years and 3 years for condoms with spermicide. Rip n Roll does not carry any condoms that contain spermicide due to findings by the Centers for Disease Control (read more here) and most all of our condoms have at least a 3 year exp date. We rotate our inventory on a monthly basis.
At RipnRoll we buy our condoms by the truckload which means we can pass on the discounts to our customers. At RipnRoll you will find great condoms prices and we pride ourselves in quality products. We do not sell cheap (low quality) condoms and we will discontinue a product if we feel it is below our quality standards.
Most cheap condoms (inexpensive condoms) are purchased by health cares, hospitals, Military, Universities and women's centers. These companies buy in large quantities and therefore get large discounts. Many of the largest discounts are given to Non-Profit Organizations. The more you buy, the more the discounts. Although most people do not want to buy millions of condoms, most anyone can take advantage of bulk rate discounts. We sell almost all of our condoms in cases of 1000 to the general public. If you are looking for larger quantities of condoms, email us at wholesale@ripnroll.com and ask for our wholesale pricelist. To buy wholesale you will need to be a registered business with a valid Fed Tax ID number. If you are looking for a cheap condom with high qulity standards, we would recommend looking at our Crown condoms or our Ultrashape condoms. Another great place to buy condoms in bulk is on our condom assortments page.
